23 Years

Yet another revolution around the sun and here we sit at 23 years.
23 years of putting our love first
23 years and the list does continue to go on
23 years of just the right balance of predictability and spontaneity
23 years of hearing people ask if we're still together
23 years of celebrating month by month (276 btw)
23 years of having our love grow stronger day by day
23 years with 11 of those being 1st time parents to a bright articulate though occasionally sensitive son
23 years with 7 of those being 2nd time parents to a bright articulate though occasionally obstinate daughter
23 years with 5 of those being 3rd time parents to a bright articulate and way more often than occasionally mischievous son
23 years of memories, traditions, new ways, old ways, and perhaps most importantly, our ways
23 years is a long way from a high school soccer field and yet some things never change
23 years and we haven't needed a reboot, restart, or new franchise...just three new supporting cast members
23 years of breaking all the rules except loving each other
23 years and though I may have grey hair our love is still brand new
23 years of family, friends, and loved ones
23 years in 10 different apartments/houses but always together
23 years of renewing our love daily to never forget why we're together
23 years spanning two different centuries and it still feels like yesterday
23 years and so many more to look forward to
23 years of love, laughter, joy, tears, sorrow, sadness, hopes, wishes, dreams, and watching it all together
23 years of just starting our lives together
23 years of one heart existing in two bodies
23 years of you still being the one
