Well it's been several days since I was writing last and sadly enough I have nothing to really say. So, other than to just see some words on the web, today's entry is just a slight recap of the last few days. Tuesday was Cole's first Penguins game so now I've been to Jacob's first Penguin game and Cole's first penguin game. And, hopefully I'll be able to make my son's first Penguin game. The game was actually a pretty good one. The Penguins came from behind to tie it up and that's the way it ended after overtime. 3-3.
Wednesday night we headed to the Rhythm House in Bridgeville to see Lindsy's band. The sound guy (not their normal person) was horrific. The first set sounded like it was being done by a third grader using his dad's broken equipment in the room above a garage with the furnace banging and clanging and the wind howling through the cracked windowpane. And that doesn't even include the outside noise of the police sirens and firetrucks showing up at the house in question because the neighbor thought cats were being tortured and set on fire. After much deliberation and wire switching on his part, he finally managed to get it together for the second half and the band was excellent as usual.
Thursday we were back in the arena and watched the Pens have a nice 9-4 meltdown against Nashville. I understand that Nashville wants to keep the playoff spot it currently has, but they didn't have to rub it in. Chiodo had a very off night and I'm not sure I understand what rationale Edzo was following leaving him in there for the whole game. We had an interesting dinner before the game too. Ask Terri and Amy about the pie if you get a chance.
Thursday I also had to don a suit and tie for the office and teach an internal workshop class to all of my co-workers. I had to break the news to them ever so gently that they were not only making mistakes, but making them more frequently and to a larger degree. Then I had to explain the right way to do things. Ton of fun, let me tell you. Now I know what some of my teachers went through when I was in their class.
Today has been a return to boring. I've been playing phone tag with a gentlemen since Tuesday. Hopefully I can catch up with him on Monday. I think 4:30 on a Friday is a little too late to try and talk shop.
I think we're headed to see Lindsy's band again tonight. Although this place is a lot further away and in the middle of back woods nowhere. Ahh, a return to my roots. And, don't let them kid you it's the same story for Dwight Tom Joe.

Have no fear, I will be back to reading and writing soon. And, let's go Pens!
